Vintage 1970 Gibson Jumbo Acoustic Guitar
This 53-year-old vintage Gibson Jumbo offers all the tone and "mojo" a player could want.
It has been recently inspected by our in-house luthier. A couple surface cracks at the upper bout were professionally cleated and repaired—normal, expected maintenance for an instrument of this age. The truss rod was checked and required no adjustment.
It now sports new D'Addario XS Medium strings. The result is a beautiful, warm, and well-balanced vintage Gibson tone with a pleasant, medium volume.
This gorgeous instrument is ready to play. It ships with a hard case, and shipping is included for the continental US. Please contact us with any questions an guitar can be viewed and played by appointment in Saluda, NC
The 1972 Gibson J-55 is a steel-string acoustic guitar produced during the Norlin era of the company. This reissue differed significantly from the original J-55 model of the late 1930s and early 1940s, most notably by featuring square instead of round shoulders.
